From LP to RP Session 14
Lord Huron - Lonesome Dreams
Lore: Lyari found a strange, dingy scarf on the ground near her head as she awoke one morning. The corners were just visible, poking out of the sand at different angles like newly sprouted leaves, reaching for sunlight.
She shook it in the morning breeze, and rinsed it with her waterskin to remove the dirt obscuring the embroidery. A stunning scene appeared before her; a sky filled with stars shedding faint light onto a vast desert, surprisingly similar to the desert in which she found herself.
Without a second thought, Lyari tied the scarf around her neck. She was sure that finding it here was no mistake, and it served the purpose of keeping the sun off her neck as she trudged through the dunes, searching.
That evening, as Lyari drifted to sleep, a vision burst into her mind of the same scene sewn onto the scarf. The twinkling stars above casting a cool, blue glow across the endless dunes. The sand was warm from the previous day’s sun, and a stiff, dry breeze swirled around, tousling her shoulder-length locks. Suddenly, a piercing but gentle whisper calls her name from above her head.
She looks up to see, held aloft by the breeze and a great pair of beating, feathered wings, was Aerdrie herself! Lyari falls to her knees atop the dune, sand spilling down either side.
“Lyari, my daughter”, the voice says, more clearly than before. “The time has come for the thirst of this desert to be quenched. I have waited centuries for someone of your faith and power to seek me out. This place will once more become a garden oasis. A beacon of hope in a land of desolation. However, my daughter, your journey is only beginning!”
